About

School of Messianic Theology

The vision of the SMT was birthed from the MJBI ministry’s desire to bring Jewish people into a personal relationship of faith with Yeshua the Messiah, knowing their acceptance will eventually mean life from the dead (Romans 11:15).

The SMT seeks to equip believers on any level to expand knowledge of the Scriptures as well as to bring a new, deeper  understanding. The MJBI online helps educate Jewish believers and Christians in their roles in ministry and personal life. Taking classes online is a popular way for working professionals or anyone to learn at his/her own pace and availability. The MJBI online School of Messianic Theology (SMT) offers a variety of courses making it easier to choose which courses you are interested in as well as periodically adding more courses. Studying with our online program will enable you to explore the Bible through Jewish eyes.

Lower Costs
. Even though classroom learning may be considered more traditional, costs associated with commuting or typical classroom supplies are not relevant in an online learning environment. This, therefore, lowers overall costs. Students will not have to worry about rising textbook prices. Students are able to download all materials needed for their courses, including additional notes and other materials.

No Sitting in a Classroom. Since all of our courses are online and video-based, lectures and other materials are available to the students upon registration. Students will never have to visit a classroom. For those working full-time, this will save time, simplify studying, and make scheduling personal events much easier.

Choose Study Times
. Students will be able to plan their study time around the rest of their day instead of the other way around. Studying with our online program will help remove stress and pressure by allowing students to learn when it is convenient for them.

Flexibility in Completing Assignments
. Students can work on and complete assignments at their own pace, as long as they complete the assignments required by the deadline (90 days from registration). Unlike traditional students who have set class times, SMT online students are able to review materials until they feel they are ready to complete assignments or take tests and quizzes.

These are just a few of the many advantages of taking the SMT online courses. Students who enroll in our program are able to manage their time, learn the materials that are presented, and complete assignments on their own schedules.

Mission

The School of Messianic Theology exists to serve the Messianic Jewish Bible Institute (MJBI) mandate to train leaders for Messianic Jewish Congregations that are culturally relevant to Jewish people. Our secondary purpose is to help educate the Church on God’s heart for the Jewish people and understanding of what God is doing among Messianic Jews.

The SMT seeks to equip believers on any level to expand in their knowledge of the Scriptures as well as to bring a new, deeper understanding of the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. The MJBI online helps educate Jewish believers and Christians in their roles in ministry and personal life.

We live in a day when there is a great need among Christians for sound teaching on God’s heart for the Jewish people and the Messianic Jewish awakening of faith. Therefore, the SMT, our exceptional “Online Program” also educates believers on a balanced and biblical theology of Messianic Jewish understanding.

Each online course will offer you approximately 16 separate teachings of 25 minutes each in the form of web based video streaming classes with supplemental reading selections and valuable student interaction opportunities. SMT students should have a computer with a working broadband Internet connection. Courses are also available on mobile devices (iPad, iPhone & other Smartphones).

Our online English speaking courses are designed to simulate a classroom experience at one of our International schools. A course includes high-quality video of each lecture, thorough study notes, recommended reading, student discussions, staff–student interaction, and graded tests.

You can begin a course at any time and work through the material whenever it is convenient for your schedule. Once you begin a course, you will have 90 days to view the lectures and complete all assignments for that individual course. You have the freedom to work at your own pace and when it is convenient for you within this time frame.
